Investigaciones realizadas demuestran que el aceite de semilla de calabaza bloquea el crecimiento de la pr\u00f3stata.\u00a0 Un cuarto de taza de las semillas tambi\u00e9n contiene alrededor de 2,75 mg de zinc (alrededor de 17 por ciento de la ingesta diaria recomendada para adultos), que contribuye a la salud sexual masculina. En un estudio de la Universidad Estatal de Wayne, los hombres que reduc\u00edan su ingesta de zinc en la dieta, ten\u00edan niveles significativamente m\u00e1s bajos de testosterona despu\u00e9s de 20 semanas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Una taza de calabaza cocida recarga de combustible nuestro organismo, con unos 564 miligramos de potasio. El potasio extra ayuda a restaurar el equilibrio de electrolitos del cuerpo despu\u00e9s de un entrenamiento pesado y mantiene los m\u00fasculos en estado \u00f3ptimo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Con 7.384 mg por 100 g, es una de las hortalizas de la familia Cucurbit\u00e1cea con niveles m\u00e1s altos de vitamina-A, proporcionando aproximadamente 246% de RDA. La vitamina A es un poderoso antioxidante natural y es requerido por el cuerpo para mantener la integridad de la piel y de la mucosa. Tambi\u00e9n es una vitamina esencial para la vista.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Adem\u00e1s, es una fuente s\u00f3lida de vitamina C. Una taza de calabaza cocida contiene m\u00e1s de 11 miligramos, o casi el 20 por ciento de los 60 miligramos\/d\u00eda que la IOM recomienda a las mujeres.
